For starters I am getting engaged to my lovely girlfriend, Miranda. We've been dating for quite some time now and decided to go ahead and take the plunge. I found a lovely diamond ring for her and plan on proposing to her on her birthday (October 22).
School is going very well! I've put in my application to join IEEE, a very prestigious company. About half the students have already dropped from the program at ITT Tech, but I'm maintaining a 3.5 GPA and made a few friends in there. We all help each other out, and at the end of this quarter our department head is throwing a LAN party and BBQing (we get to eat as much as we can handle)! I am absolutely loving this school.
The only downside is that I'm still working at Pizza Hut. Not a big deal though. I'm getting over 30 hours, which has allowed me to stack up quite a bit of money (especially since I moved back home). Next month I will be opening a Roth IRA account and naming my fiance as a beneficiary to it. Next year we will be looking for an apartment, probably out in Joliet. This way we can stack up money and buy a house with cash. Since I've made myself debt free, I would hate to take out a mortgage, but a 15-year fixed-rate wouldn't be too bad.
I'm just so excited about everything!
One last thing, everyone needs to read The Total Money Makeover. This book makes the most logical sense out of handling and budgeting money. Don't be in debt, for being in debt makes you a slave to your debtor!

So I'll paint a scene, from memory,
so I'd know who murdered me
It's a vain pursuit, but it helps me to sleep
